Always changing and evolving as her fur and other parts need replaced from damage, Vera becomes a creature composed of patches and yarn, slowly losing bit after bit of her old self. She now tries to replace those missing parts with scraps of real fur, flesh and scale to retain some memory of life. She absorbs the memories of anything she sews onto herself, and after a while, tossed-aside scraps of fabric that have been in storage for years and years, or rotting on the ground, has created some terribly bleak memories, indeed. Her stuffing is now only about half white fluffy cotton, replaced with moss and other plant matter, animal fur and other soft material; whatever she can find to fill herself with, even if it causes her some visible lumpiness. Insects gather inside her more than ever, now her innards are more accommodating to them. Some yarn and stitching always seems to find its way through her eyes and any rips or decayed areas. Most of her tail has been worn and dragged off; you can see most of what's left in the image with only the tip out of the picture.
